Becky G’s long awaited debut album is on the way, and luckily, fans won't have to wait long.The Mexican-American star has been pursuing stardom ever since she was a little girl. She made an appearance on the hit television show ‘Sabado Gigante’ back in 2009 where she sang a cover of Selena’s ‘Bidi Bidi Bam Bam’ and absolutely wowed the audience. She first reached the mainstream market with english songs, specifically her hit single ‘Singing in the Shower’ in 2014. However, as she grew older she began to transition into the Latinx market and reached the mainstream wave after her hit ‘Mayores’ with the help of an outstanding feature by Bad Bunny.
The young artist announced on social media that her debut album Mala Santa will arrive on Thursday, Oct. 17. Becky wrote on her instagram caption of the post, “Finally. This is my new era."
During the past few years, the singer/songwriter and soon-to-be host of 2019 MTV EMAs awards has proven her versatility as an entertainer. At just 22 years old, Becky G has conquered Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with “Mayores” and recently "Sin Pijama." With "Mayores," she became one of only five women to achieve that feat in 2017. Becky G will also participate at the Billboard Latin AMAs Summit as a speaker on The Superstar panel, and will be honored with the Extraordinary Evolution Award at the 2019 Latin American Music Awards for her success as a young performer who has reached the pinnacle of success in a short period of time.
